  1. What software do I need to use Matchpeg Meetings?
  2. All Matchpeg's products are entirely browser-based. The only software you need is your web browser. Nothing gets installed on your computer. We recommend Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or Camino.

  3. Do I need to make changes to my browser or firewall settings?
  4. Matchpeg's products will normally work without you needing to make any changes to your browser settings. The software requires Javascript to be turned on, and needs to be able to use session cookies.

    Matchpeg's products should work seamlessly through corporate and personal firewalls. If you are unable to access Matchpeg, but you can get to other websites, please check that your IT department is not operating a "whitelist" of permitted sites.

  5. Can Matchpeg Meetings be used with online meeting tools such as Webex?
  6. Matchpeg Meetings is the perfect addition to any meeting regardless of how it is being run. When used with an online meeting such as Webex, Matchpeg Meetings allows everyone to see the agenda and minutes and receive their own copy together with relevant actions immediately after the meeting has ended.

  7. Is Matchpeg Meetings just another way of running meetings online?
  8. No. Matchpeg Meetings is a simple tool that helps you get better results in less time, regardless of whether you run your meetings face-to-face or over the internet. You continue to run meetings in your usual way, and Matchpeg Meetings helps you to manage them much more efficiently.

  9. Who uses Matchpeg Meetings?
  10. Managers, team leaders, business owners and anyone who wants to get better results from the meetings they run. If there are two or more people in your meeting then Matchpeg Meetings will add value.

    Customers also use Matchpeg Meetings as a way of publishing group task lists even when no actual meeting has taken place: the system is an ideal and simple way of letting everyone see the progress on each of the tasks.

  11. Can my manager see my action points?
  12. Yes. Matchpeg lets you record a manager for each person in your user list. A manager can see all the action points assigned to any members of their team.

  13. What sort of management reporting does Matchpeg Meetings provide?
  14. Matchpeg Meetings can report on two main areas. Firstly, the system can analyse the number and length of meetings based on who organised them, who participated in them, what the subject was etc. Secondly, the system can analyse action points, reporting not only on the number of actions assigned to each person but also on how quickly each person completed their actions on average.

    As described above, Matchpeg Meetings also provides a special dashboard for managers showing the number of action points currently assigned to each member of their team.

    Finally, Matchpeg Meetings also lets you download any list of meetings or action points as a CSV file for bespoke analysis in software such as Microsoft Excel.

  15. What happens if an action isn't completed before the next meeting?
  16. Matchpeg Meetings lets you create a series of meetings simply by taking an existing meeting and copying it. You can choose not only to copy over the participants, the subject, the location etc, but also to put any incomplete actions from the previous meeting onto the agenda for the new meeting.

  17. Do I have to have a computer in the meeting?
  18. Absolutely not. There is no need to change the way you work. You can simply make your notes and record action points of the meeting against a printed copy of the agenda, and then and type up the minutes after the meeting.

    However, if you do choose to use a computer in the meeting you have the option to type up the minutes live to save time later and to ensure that everyone agrees what is being recorded.

  19. How can a piece of software help me keep a meeting to time?
  20. If you do choose to use a computer in the meeting you can use the agenda item timer to count down each item and help the meeting stay on track.

  21. Can I invite people from outside my company?
  22. Yes. Matchpeg Meetings lets you specify any number of "guests" for a meeting - people who are not on your firm's user list. Guests can log in to the meeting's details using a special PIN. They can view or download the agenda or minutes, and update the status of action points assigned to them. (However, the PIN is only valid for a specific meeting. Guests do not have full access to your firm's records.)

  23. Can I download data from Matchpeg Meetings?
  24. Yes. Firstly, each individual meeting and action point can be stored in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF) as well as being viewed as a web page. Secondly, you can get lists of all your meetings and action points as an RSS feed (either for viewing in newsreader application, or for machine-readable purposes). Thirdly, you can search for any combination of records in the system and download the results as a CSV file.

  25. Do my free-trial meetings get saved?
  26. Of course! All data for all meetings that are recorded against your firm's account get stored automatically irrespective of whether they are created during the trial period or as a Pay As You Go user or as a Subscriber. You don't lose any data when your free trial ends and you decide to become a Matchpeg customer.

  27. How long is my data stored for?
  28. At the moment, all data is retained indefinitely until you ask for a meeting to be deleted. However, Matchpeg's terms and conditions allow us to remove records created by pay-as-you-go customers 30 days after they are created. This is not currently enforced, but may be in future.

  29. Do I need to pay separately or subscribe separately for Matchpeg Meetings, Matchpeg Brainstorming, and Matchpeg Workflow?
  30. No. All our pay-as-you-go packs and subscriptions allow you to use any of Matchpeg's products. Your payment is converted into units which can then be used on whichever product or products you want.

  31. Can I upgrade/downgrade my subscription?
  32. Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time without penalty. The only difference between the subscriptions is the cost associated with using each product. Therefore if you downgrade you may find that the cost of using each product increases slightly, whereas when you upgrade the costs reduce.

  33. Do you share my data with other people?
  34. Absolutely not. We do not give third parties access to your personal details or any of the data you create.
